  On June 5, 2015, Resource Satellite Center Signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement, Strategic Cooperation Agreement about Land Observation Satellite Data in Flood Control and Drought Relief Applications, with General Command Office to Prevent Flooding and Drought and Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydroelectric Power Research.

  Strategic Cooperation Agreement about Land Observation Satellite Data in Flood Control and Drought Relief Applications aim at strengthening the applications of all-round cooperation and remote sensing satellite data in the monitoring of state flood control and drought relief trends, and other fields, and the close integration of satellite data service and business application, and speeding up promoting and enlarging the business use range and depth of China civil use remote sensing satellite data.

  Since the successful launch of the first civil use remote sensing satellite in China, domestic land observation satellites have been broadly applied in state flood control and drought relief, the monitoring on state significant water conservancy infrastructure, and the research and appraisal of state mountain flood disaster. Mr. Xu Wen, the director of the center, Mr. Zhang Zhitong, the office director of General Command Office to Prevent Flooding and Drought, Mr. Wang Xiaogang, the vice president of Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydroelectric Power Research, and relevant leaders presented the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation.
